Cleaning your home with lemons
I like to have bowls full of lemons in my house, not only do
they help to brighten my kitchen, but they can also help make it easy and
clean.
I have put together some easy home hacks to clean your home
naturally. Making such changes and using less toxic water is great for you and
the environment. Not only do lemons have a pleasing aroma but they can also
help improve radiance. It's amazing how well they can clean your home.
Wood chopping board
You can clean your wood cutting board with half a lemon and
a little coarse salt. You just have to cut a lemon in half and sprinkle salt on
the chopped board. Then scratch the surface of the cutting board, facing the
lemon downwards, squeezing a little to release the lemon juice as you go. Let
the lemon and salt sit for about 15 minutes to allow them to work, then squeeze
any lemon slices and rinse with lukewarm water and a clean sponge or cloth.
Lime
Lemon is good at dealing with lime. For the lime skin that
is on your taps, very easily cut your lemon in half and run the lemon all over
the tap where the lime is present. Leave the lemon on the tap for a while so it
can work and then rinse. You may need to repeat this process.
Just put half of the used lemon in the kettle for your
kettle, fill it with water and boil. Leave overnight, and boil again in the
morning before emptying. Rinse it immediately to remove any bits.
Microwave
Put half a lemon in a bowl of clean cold water in the
microwave and then put the microwave on full power for 5 minutes. Lemon will
leave grease which will be easy to wipe with a cloth.
Rust
Rust Mix Apply this paste on rust and scrub to remove lemon
with salt and make a paste. Leave on for a few minutes and rinse with lukewarm
water.
Hard water marks
Hard water marks can be a real pain, but they can be easily
removed with just half a lemon mark.
Dishwasher
Add the lemon juice to the sealed tablet portion and then
run on the rinse cycle.
Here are some other ideas for cleaning lemons:
